The Fundamentals

Nineteen lessons. A video for every page of the workbook, and an exercise that takes you straight back to your own chart.

What it is

Nineteen lessons that take someone who knows nothing about astrology to someone who can sit down with a chart, find a placement, say what it means, and put it beside another one.

Each lesson is a short video of me at the chart doing the thing the lesson teaches — out loud, wrong turns included — and a page of the workbook that sends you straight back to your own. The page is the homework.

What it covers

  • The wheel. The parts of a chart, labelling your own, and the symbols.
  • The shape. Spread or gathered, above or below the horizon, and whether you have a stellium.
  • The signs and the houses, in full, taught before you need them.
  • All ten planets, one at a time, each one written as a sentence about your own life.
  • Synthesis. Holding two placements together and finding the question they leave you with.
  • The aspects. All five, which the free workbook deliberately leaves out.
  • Your lunar nodes, and what the axis is actually asking of you.
Plus charts to practise on that are not your own — which is the part you cannot do alone, and the part that turns reading into a skill.

Who it is for

Beginners, mostly. Also people who have read about astrology for years and still cannot open their own chart and say anything useful about it. You do not need the free workbook first, though it will tell you quickly whether this is for you.

The Apprenticeship

A year, one to one, for people who want to read for other people and build a practice around it. Beginners welcome — often my apprentices begin exactly where you are now.
